Arusha National Park is one of the mysterious national parks located in Northern Tanzania, Northeast of Arusha city. It is famous for being a home to Tanzania's second highest mountain, Mount Meru and the world’s largest population of giraffes. It covers 552 square kilometers. It is 25 kilometers east of Arusha, 58 kilometers from Moshi and 35 kilometers from Kilimanjaro International Airport (KIA). It harbors incredible wildlife species that cannot be viewed in other national parks in the northern circuit including vegetation types like the lush rainforest, savannah, alpine vegetation, animals like buffalos, bushbucks, warthogs, zebras, red duikers, elephants, giraffes, leopards, hippos, primates like black and white colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys, blue monkeys, bird species like grey crowned crane, flamingos, African fish eagle, hartlaub's turaco, secretary birds among others. overnight at Christina house.
Early morning you will enjoy your breakfast before departure. Thereafter, we will collect our lunch boxes and head to a stunning Tarangire National Park for a day game drive.Tarangire is famous for its diverse landscape with nine different vegetation zones. The park is particularly known for the abundance of ancient Baobab trees (the largest trees in the continent) which fill the landscape and dwarf the animals next to them. The Tarangire River that meanders through the park attracts an abundance of wildlife such as elephants, lions, leopards, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes and a variety of colorful birds. In fact, the park has the largest concentration of elephants compared to any part of the country and provides unique chances to observe the interaction between elephant families. At the end of an inspiring afternoon amongst the wildlife, we retire to the Lodge for an evening meal and some rest. Manyara Wildlife Safari Camp
Early morning you will enjoy your breakfast before departure. Thereafter we will collect our lunch boxes and drive to Lake Manyara National Park through the Great Rift Valley for a day game drive.Although small in dimension (205 sq miles), the park has breathtaking scenery and it is well famous for its lush acacia forest of giant fig and mahogany trees, which are home to multitudes of baboons and blue monkeys. The park is also a home to large numbers of buffalos, giraffes, elephants and impalas. The park’s lake has a great number of hippos. The park is famous for having tree-climbing lions, flamingos in the lake shore and the ground hornbill and the crested eagle. The landscapes of Lake Manyara are something that cannot be described with words, and the game drives along the lake provide stunning photo opportunities of giraffes and buffaloes in the foreground with the lake, flamingos and flat plains in the horizon. After breakfast and having collected our lunch boxes, we will drive out of Lake Manyara National Park to the famous Serengeti National Park. Our trip takes to the North-West. Your driver-guide will drive you up to the crater highlands, stopping at the rim for a birds-eye view of a stunning Ngorongoro Crater. As you continue to crest the hillside, spread out before you is the vast Serengeti.
In our native language, Serengeti means ‘endless plains’. The park is estimated to be 6,900 sq. miles (18,000 sq. km) and for most of it, its plains stretch towards the horizon, defying your sense and perception of distances. Also the park is a home to more than 2 million wildlife including more than a million wildebeest, hundreds of thousands of plains zebras and all kinds of antelopes together with the abundant impalas and Thomson’s gazelles. As for big cats and large predators, it is the place where you might be able to see lions, cheetahs, leopards and hyenas drawn to the area by abundance of prey which migrate throughout the park. Smaller animals like baboons, monkeys, jackals, mongoose, honey badger, rock hyrax, bat eared foxes and African hares along with more than 500 species of birds are residing in the park.On the way to the park you will have an option to visit the famous Olduvai Gorge, the place where Dr. Louis and Mary Leakey discovered the remains of the first man who walked on earth. Following a short lecture describing the archaeological digs and geology of the gorge, you will have time to visit the small museum. Serengeti Heritage Luxury Camp.
Enjoying your morning in Serengeti for another day is something which is even more fantastic. The same sounds, smells and sights of Serengeti are all around you, and ahead is another day full of adventures in the world’s most famous park. On this day after breakfast, we will start our early section of game drive at the park, marveling at the spectacular scenery of Africa and wildlife.After lunch, we will continue with our game drive searching for wildlife in this awe-inspiring park. Serengeti’s wonders evolve subtly as the day progresses. At any time of our drive we may find an elephant, zebra, lion, antelope, cheetah or leopard. At the end of the afternoon, we will return to the lodge for dinner and rest. Serengeti Acacia Migration Camps.
After an early morning breakfast and having collected our lunch boxes, we will have a morning game-drive at the Serengeti National Park. Later in the afternoon, we will depart to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, the 8th wonder of nature in the world. The Ngorongoro Crater has a floor that spreads 102 sq. miles and walls of 2,000 ft high, making it virtually a Noah’s ark for inhabiting almost every species of wildlife that is indigenous to East Africa. It is one of the very rare locations in the continent where you can find black rhinos. Also the Crater has the greatest concentration of wildlife on the planet. It contains a river, several swamps, a soda lake that looks like steam from the top full of flamingos, a forest and open plains. It is also famous for having large bull elephants with extremely large tusks, due to the rich mineral content of the volcanic soil and its grasses. This day will be a departure day, but we will have plenty of time to descend into the crater floor for an incredible morning of wildlife in one of the most stunning places on Earth.
After an early game drive, we will have our picnic lunch near the beautiful hippo’s lake in the crater. Thereafter, we will have a short time game drive and then ascend the crater for departure to the airport for your flight home, or as the case may be.
